I’m Alive

Hello My bloggy fans.
It’s been a couple of weeks, and I’ve been healing and recovering and not writing much. It seems that my brain has taken a vacation, and writing for the last few weeks has been more like work than like the release at the end of the day that I’m used to it being.
so here goes with some random updates:
The diabetic cat is still diabetic, and him and his mother are now on a diet. He also needs another $700 worth of dental work. Funny, so do I, and I haven’t gone because I don’t have the money… We’ll work on the diet for a while and see if I can win the lottery in the mean time, and get everybody’s teeth fixed.
Minime is apparently no longer living in a trailer in the middle of the corn. She’s in a house with 3 other roommates and her dog. We’ll see how that goes. She hasn’t been talking to me much lately.
Roomie has been absolutely wonderful through everything for the last few weeks. He’s cleaned house when it needs it, done my laundry so I wouldn’t have to carry it, done most of the cooking, let me rest when I needed it, and kept me company when I felt like not being alone. He’s a beautiful caring, giving, sharing man. As I get my energy back, I will get back to it being more of an equal relationship, but for now, as hard as it is for me to accept help, he’s been such a blessing. I don’t know how I would have gone through this without his support. I loved him before all this happened, that love has only deepened through this. I couldn’t ask for a better person in my life. I’m sure, however, that I still drive him a little crazy. I’ll have to work on that. In any case, we smile a lot together. There’s a reason we’re in each other’s lives.
I was out and about, wearing myself out, yesterday. I had a gift certificate for Borders Books from 2 christmases ago, so I went there and spent it. I got a couple of books on Digital Photography. One of the things that I want to do as spring comes around again is get back into photography. I haven’t taken any pics in a few months. Both of these books have good tips for the specific software that I use for photo editing, so you may be seeing some photos here as I get more into that.
That’s about it for my boring life recovering from surgery. I have been having some pretty interesting conversations with a couple of cousins about issues in their lives. That’s at least made me feel a little helpful. A few phone calls from the people that I work with have been fun too.
I do have a couple of issues that I’ll blog about once I can put more than a paragraph worth of thought together. Hang in there with me, the next couple of weeks are going to be interesting/exhausting.
