Wordplay

I have a friend that I sometimes chat with while we’re both at work. Through the course of the day between whatever he’s working on and whatever I’m working on we may have two or three 10 line bursts of conversation. It’s our way of passing the day together.

The conversation started earlier when J was looking for a word to describe the opposite of “humanization”. I don’t know why. Usually when he asks me for a word, he’s working on an e-mail or something. We settled on “objectification” as the word that he was looking for.

He works a swing shift and this week he was on days. 20 minutes after that first conversation he was a little frustrated with someone at work that kept breathing his perfectly good oxygen and this popped up on my screen:

J: if you believe someone is a complete ass… is that donkeyfication or burrofication?

Me: lol

J: because thinking someone is an asshole could mean rectification and that could be confusing if you’re trying to repair something

Me: it would only be burrofication in Spanish, wouldn’t it?

J: burritofication

Me: that’s a whole different topic

J: and doesn’t burrito mean a little ass?

J: or is that burrita?

Me: technically burrita would be little female ass

J: nothing wrong with that :D

M. Your guyness is showing.

He’s a goof. We amuse ourselves well.
