- You’d think I’d learn, that when it rains in the morning and then it all freezes and there’s a couple of inches of snow over a couple of inches of ice all nicely frozen just in time for the commute the next morning, I really should just work from home.
- Said commute is a bad time to remember that you meant to get new tires last fall because 3/4 of a ton of steel rolling on fairly bald 5 year old tires doesn’t stop very well on ice. I need an oil change too. Maybe I’ll get that done after the Christmas party Friday.
- My prize from NaBloPoMo arrived today. Thank you Ashley! You’re a very nice person that spread a little sunshine today. Boy did I need that!
- It’s easier to give the diabetic cat his shot when he’s all excited about the treats in my other hand
The other 2 cats don’t mind the treats either. They all get a few of them twice a day now. The treats really aren’t good for them but Sugar Kitty was hiding from the needles and it’s worse for him to miss his meds than it is to give them a few treats, so it is what it is. - I have my Christmas cards 3/4 of the way done. We’re not even half way through December yet. That’s kind of a miracle here.
- Weight Watchers changed their program again. I’m going to join for a couple of months to get the details, and to get back in the habit of going to meetings. Apparently I need that support, I haven’t been able to sustain the eating plan on my own for more than a couple of months. I like that weight watchers is good common sense. They tweak the science of their diet every year or two based on the latest research, but there’s nothing radical or drastic about it. I like that too.
- West Wing is still the best written show on TV, even though it’s been off the air for a few years. I’ve been enjoying the rerun’s on Bravo. I didn’t discover the show until it was well into it’s run. It’s nice to finally get all the background.
- Faith Hill’s new Christmas album is the best I’ve heard in a long time. That lady can sing the hell out of a song. One of the songs is free at the iTunes store this week. Go download it and enjoy.
