vacation – day 2

Today was a day of good friends, lots of pics, good food, twice, life is good.
I shot some great, old, architecture, saw a really old cemetery, a battle field – Balls Bluff, an old carriage house, pump house, and well house at Red Rock. I had lunch with a dear friend from work at a Chinese place in Sterling, and dinner was with my friends at a Japanese place that has a grill at the table. I even ate some of the broccoli. It didn’t suck as bad as usual. Their barely teenaged son was paying full attention to all the knife play and fire. They will be going back for his birthday in a couple of weeks.
Animal count today is 2 dogs, 1 fox, and a family of dear. I miss my cats but Roomie is taking good care of them.
Tomorrow is all lined up. I’m off to NC which is 5 hours drive pretty much straight south. I talked to my brother and my friend down there today. It will be a good couple of days there. Hopefully the rain will stop by morning. Skipper in NC reports that the dogwoods are just starting to bloom, it should be beautiful for the next couple of days.
I’m holding up well. Doing OK. Working at getting rehydrated today after 14 hours in a car with one bottle of water all day. I’m feeling good though.
The week is flying by tooooo fast.
