aaargh

Well, today sucked, except for the fact that I don’t have cancer.  So that being said it didn’t really suck that much.  One more three month check up in Feb and then I graduate to 6 months between stirrups.  YAY! Other than that it was a craptastic day, ending with me stressed out,  sick to [...]

Randomness

Two years ago today, I was diagnosed with cancer. Wow. Tomorrow I see the oncologist for yet another 3 month check up. Soon it will be twice a year checkups, for which I will be grateful.   More on that in a few weeks. Today’s funny moment: I was chatting with a good guy friend. [...]

Who remembers Tiger’s Milk?

When I was little, nearly 40 years ago, there was this god awful nutrition drink called Tigers Milk. It was horrible. It’s the source for my absolute gag reflex on anything that’s liquid and/or gritty,  and/or malt flavored.  The can looked like this but bigger.  Mom bought the 5 lb can. The can sat on [...]

The road…

When I took this picture last spring, I didn’t know how symbolic it would become to me. I used to live from one crossroad to another in my life.  A major decision would come along, I’d try to figure out which way to turn, and sometimes I chose well, and sometimes I didn’t.  Everyone’s life [...]

a little inspirational break….

“I’m A Little Tea Cup….” There was a couple who took a trip to England to shop in a beautiful antique store to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.  They both liked  antiques and pottery, and especially teacups.  Spotting an exceptional cup,  they asked, “May we see that?  We’ve never seen a cup quite so beautiful.” [...]

1. Let NaBloPoMo begin!  November is National Blog Posting Month. This is my third year as a participant. I’m a little nervous about having time every day so I’ve got some quickies in mind for days when I need them.  I’m not big on scheduling posts in the future either, so I haven’t prewriteen anything, [...]
